Operational Efficiency Analysis
Pickleball Kingdom Buildout | Skyward Construction Group
Context:
During my internship at Skyward Construction Group, I analyzed construction workflows for a Pickleball court. The goal was to identify inefficiencies in labor use, material staging, and installation sequencing. Installation teams faced workflow interruptions due to poorly timed material deliveries and overlapping labor responsibilities.
What I Did:
• Conducted time studies to measure efficiency
• Mapped workflows to identify bottlenecks
• Created a bill of materials (BOM) outlining required materials and vendor pricing
My Findings:
• Specialized labor roles improved efficiency by 37%
• Early material deliveries caused installation delays
• Coordinated scheduling could cut wasted labor time
Impact:
• Identified workflow improvements for future builds
• Highlighted opportunities to reduce labor inefficiencies
• Developed a material planning reference for future projects
